Parking in designated areas on campus are free to graduates and guests attending Commencement celebrations. As always, please pay attention to garage and lot signage and park accordingly. 


College and School Ceremony Parking 

The majority of the university’s parking garages will be available for guests attending Commencement. The surface lots east of the LBJ Presidential Library may also be available. Please consult the Commencement schedule page for parking in closest proximity to a specific college, school and departmental ceremony that will be taking place. Please note that parking priority will be given to permit holders on Thursday, May 19, and Friday, May 20 as they are regular business days.

With the exception of spaces marked “At All Times,” surface lots will also be available on Saturday, May 21.


University-wide Ceremony Parking

All parking garages and parking lots with capacity will be available for the university-wide Commencement Ceremony in Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium.

The Manor Garage will serve as the designated parking location for those requiring ADA shuttle access to the University-wide Commencement in DKR-TMS.

Guests who use Rideshare options to travel to/from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for the university-wide Commencement ceremony can use the designated airport-style rideshare drop-off/pick-up location on the south curb of Dean Keeton, between Robert Dedman Drive and Red River Street.

Look for the rideshare signage along the way.

NOTE: The University of Texas at Austin offers a complimentary text system for Commencement 2022 updates. The system will provide guests with text messages regarding parking, traffic, and information about Commencement events that may be delayed or cancelled due to weather or an unexpected circumstance. Simply text UTGRAD22 to 888-777. You will receive a confirmation text verifying your enrollment. Please note, all numbers will be purged following Spring Commencement 2022 or by replying STOP to the text message.
